About SEMI Credentialing™

Industry-aligned credentials and endorsed training programs designed to strengthen workforce readiness across the semiconductor ecosystem.

Developed by the SEMI Foundation in collaboration with industry and workforce partners, SEMI Credentialing™ helps validate skills, recognize workforce excellence, and strengthen pathways into semiconductor careers.

Strengthening Workforce Readiness Through Industry Validation

As demand for semiconductor talent continues to grow, employers increasingly need trusted ways to identify workforce readiness and training quality.

SEMI Credentialing™ helps support that effort through industry-aligned credentialing and endorsement programs designed to validate technical skills, recognize high-quality workforce training, and strengthen talent pathways across the semiconductor industry.

The initiative supports both individuals pursuing careers and organizations preparing the future workforce.

Built for the Future Workforce

Verifying Skills and Job Readiness

The Semiconductor Equipment Technician Credential establishes a trusted, industry-validated standard for assessing workforce readiness in semiconductor equipment technician roles. Developed in partnership with the SEMI Foundation and verified through NOCTI’s nationally accredited assessment process, the credential combines:

  • A written knowledge assessment
  • A hands-on technical skills evaluation

Successful candidates earn a portable credential that demonstrates verified readiness for semiconductor equipment technician positions.

Built With Industry Input

The Semiconductor Equipment Technician Credential was developed with direct input from semiconductor employers, technical experts, educators, and workforce leaders to help ensure alignment with real-world workforce needs.

The credential reflects practical skills and technical knowledge relevant to modern semiconductor manufacturing environments and workforce expectations.

By combining technical assessment with hands-on demonstration, the program helps create stronger alignment between workforce preparation and employer demand.

Recognizing Excellence in Semiconductor Training

The SEMI Endorsed designation recognizes education and workforce training programs that demonstrate strong alignment with semiconductor industry workforce needs. Programs earning SEMI Endorsement help prepare entry-level talent through practical, hands-on training experiences designed to support workforce readiness across the semiconductor ecosystem.
